Wendy Zierler is Associate Professor of Feminist Studies and Modern Jewish Literature at HUC-JIR in New York. Prior to joining HUC-JIR she was a Research Fellow in the English Department of the University of Hong Kong. She received her Ph.D. and her MA from Princeton University, and her BA from Yeshiva University, Stern College and is currently working towards an MFA in Fiction Writing at Sarah Lawrence College. She is the recipient of a Fulbright fellowship, and grants from the Lucius Littauer Foundation as well as from the Hadassah Brandeis Institute. She is the author of And Rachel Stole the Idols: The Emergence of Hebrew Women’s Writing.
