ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Paul Mendes-Flohr is Professor Emeritus of Modern Jewish Thought at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is currently the Dorothy Grant Mclear Professor of Jewish Intellectual History at the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. His most recent book is Martin Buber. A Life of Dissent and Dialogue, soon to be published by Yale University Press.
