REGISTRATION CLOSED, WALK UPS WELCOME: ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr. Liz Shayne is a student in the four-year program at Yeshivat Maharat, the first program in the United States to ordain women as Orthodox clergy. She is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where she received her doctorate in English Literature for her dissertation on the effects of layout, form, and interface on how we feel about and form relationships with print and digital books. In her quest to combine the two, she hopes to bring her knowledge of digital reading and learning to her Torah study and help craft a 21st century Jewish pedagogy that uses technology in the service of Torah
