ABOUT THIS SPEAKER: Director of Family Research at the Leo Baeck Institute and a consultant at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. Mrs. Franklin has served as President of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS), Chair of the Council of American Jewish Museums, and Co-chair of the Board of Governors of JewishGen.org, the Jewish genealogy web site. A past chair of the Memorial Museums Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), she was awarded the 2012 ICOM-US Service Citation for her work in Holocaust-era property restitution. In 2019 she received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the IAJGS. She is a Co-founder and Jury President of the Obermayer German Jewish History Awards and also serves on the board of the National Association of Retired Reform Rabbis.
