The New York Times called 2015 “The Year we Obsessed Over Identity.” Rachel Dolezal and Caitlyn Jenner have publicly challenged inherited notions of identity. At the same time, the American Jewish community is having an identity crisis of its own. In this session, Rabbi Darren Kleinberg, Ph.D., will discuss the shifting tides of identity within the American Jewish community and beyond, and offer some prescriptions for how we should respond.
